Main Components of a Stainless Steel Ice Cream Plant:-(A) Mixing & Blending Tank-Made of food-grade stainless steel, Used to mix ingredients (milk,cream,sugar,stabilizers,flavors),May have agitators and temperature control (heating or cooling) (B) Pasteurizer- Heats the mixture to a specific temperature to kill harmful bacteria. (C) Homogenizer- Reduces the size of fat globules to ensure smooth texture. (D) Aging Tank- Holds the pasteurized and homogenized mix at low temperature (4°C) for several hours. (E) Continuous Freezer- Mix is frozen while being whipped with air. (F) Filling & Packaging Machines-Fills ice cream into cups, cones, tubs, or bulk containers. Key features of an Automatic Ice Cream Plant:- Raw material Handling System- Automated/Manual dosing of milk, cream, sugar, stabilizers and emulsifiers. Mixing & Blending Units- Ingredients are automatically measured and mixed in jacketed blending tanks. Pasteurization & Homogenization- High Temperature Short Time (HTST) pasteurization eliminates pathogens. Aging Tanks (Automated cooling)- Mix is cooled and aged at 4°c under continuous gentle agitation. Continuous Freezer- Mix is partially frozen and aerated in a continuous freezer. Flavoring & Inclusion System- Automatic/Manual dosing system add flavors, fruits, chocolate chips, or nuts. Automatic/Manual Filling & Packaging Machines- Ice cream is filled into cones, cups, family packs, or bulk containers. Hardening Tunnel- Rapid freezing in a blast freezer or hardening tunnel -35°c to -40°c. Cold Storage & Dispatch- Finished products are stored in cold rooms at -20°c or lower.
